What could efficiency save you?
Compare your current system with a new one, using your electric rate and how much you cool. See annual savings, payback and a ten-year view.
What could efficiency save?
Planning math: cooling kWh = tons x 12,000 BTU x equivalent full-load hours / (SEER x 1,000). Old SEER is converted to the newer SEER2 scale. Your bills, weather, ducts and habits will differ.

How much does a new air conditioner or furnace cost?
Commonly published installed prices run roughly $5,000 to $12,000 for a central air conditioner, $3,800 to $10,000 for a furnace and $5,000 to $13,000 for a heat pump, depending on size, efficiency and the work needed. Our Savings Calculator and System Sizer give a first view, and a free estimate gives you a written price.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?
Yes. Heating and cooling emergencies do not keep business hours, so urgent calls are handled around the clock. Call or text 615-431-3789 and a real person will help.
How do I know whether to repair or replace my system?
Look at age, repair cost, repair history, energy bills and comfort. A common rule is to consider replacement when a repair costs about half of a new system, or when age times repair cost is above roughly 5,000. Our Repair or Replace tool gives a starting read.
What size system does my home need?
It depends on the home's size, insulation, windows, sun exposure and ducts, not just square footage. A rough rule is about one ton of cooling per 500 to 600 square feet, and our System Sizer gives a first estimate. A load calculation confirms it.
How often should my system be serviced?
Air conditioners benefit from a spring tune-up and furnaces and heat pumps from a fall tune-up. A maintenance plan bundles both visits with priority scheduling and keeps records for warranties.
What is a heat pump, and does it work in Tennessee winters?
A heat pump moves heat instead of making it, so it heats and cools very efficiently. Modern models heat well in Middle Tennessee winters, and a backup heat source or a gas furnace in a dual-fuel setup covers the coldest days.
Why is one room hotter or colder than the rest?
Common causes are undersized or leaky ducts, missing returns, sun exposure, thin insulation and a system that is too large or small. A measurement visit finds the cause, and fixes range from balancing to zoning or a ductless head.
How often should I change my air filter?
Every one to three months for standard one-inch filters, and six to twelve months for deep media filters, with more frequent changes for pets, allergies or dusty homes.
